Arm and Hand Rehabilitation

The Rehab Team provides Upper Limb rehabilitation for changes in arm and hand function following Neurological injury or impairment to people living in Tauranga, Papamoa and surrounding areas.

The Rehab Team knows that the loss of function in the use of the upper limb is one of the main factors affecting disability, an independent predictor of quality of life. It is often one of the main obstacles to recovery and increasing someone’s level of independence. Our Neurological Physiotherapists have undergone additional training in upper limb rehabilitation and are able to assist in the assessment and rehabilitation to improve upper limb function after:

-Stroke

-Traumatic or acquired brain injury

-Parkinson’s

-Motor Neuron Disease

-Ataxia
